CAVC launches new website to provide improved experience for all customers
Cardiff and Vale College is launching a new website this week that will provide an improved experience for all of its customers.
As the largest college in Wales, and the fourth largest in the UK, CAVC has around 30,000 learners each year. From school leavers progressing on to study college and university courses, to adult learners and employers across the Capital Region, the College takes on learners from across the spectrum of further and higher education.
The new Cardiff and Vale College website, which can be found at www.cavc.ac.uk, will allow people to:
Find a course
The new site uses a new powerful intuitive bilingual search engine to find a course or search by an individual’s interests, then filter down to find the course for them. Alternatively, people can browse by subject area to find what they are looking for then apply online.
Discover more
There will be more detailed information available about courses, areas of interest and CAVC with comprehensive course information and dynamic content. Image galleries, maps, blogs, videos and more will ensure the entire experience will provide the right information in a dynamic and engaging way.
Easily access tailored information
With a such a diverse range of courses and students, CAVC has created dedicated areas for customer groups on the new site such as school leavers, adults, businesses and international students. This ensures the right information is available for each customer, all in one place. They can also choose to be kept in contact with the latest information.
Access information in the way you want
Above all, the new website is easily accessible. As well as being available in Welsh and English, the site enables customers to read every page in a format that works for them, or have it read to them – all via leading accessibility software embedded throughout.
Cardiff and Vale College Principal Kay Martin said: “Over recent years the College has grown significantly, providing hundreds of courses and training programmes to more than 30,000 learners each year. It is important to us that each and every one of them receives excellent customer service and can easily access the information they want.
“We have engaged with customers throughout the process of creating this exciting new website to ensure that it provides precisely what they need. It is also important that the website is bilingual as the College is proud of its Welsh heritage.
“This launch is just the beginning – the are more developments in the pipeline as the College continues to work to ensure the service it provides is second to none.”
