UKSA announces partnership with Neilson Active Holidays for instructor training leading to guaranteed jobs and course fee support

UKSA has announced a partnership with multi-award-winning tour operator Neilson Active Holidays which sees watersports instructor training students guaranteed job roles with Neilson as well as course fee support.

The tour operator with over 40 years’ experience within the travel industry is offering 12 guaranteed job roles for those who complete UKSA’s Watersports Instructor Training as well as 50 percent of the course fee refunded for course students gaining employment with Neilson following the completion of two summer seasons.

With demand for instructors at an all-time high at holiday destinations worldwide, the 12-week course provides students with all the skills needed to start their career in the watersports industry and subject to interview, gives them the opportunity to start their career with a bang working for Neilson at one of its beautiful beach resorts based in Greece, Italy or Croatia.

Instructors will qualify as a multi-disciplined instructor to teach windsurfing, dinghy sailing and windsurfing enabling them to teach beginners, train future instructors and share their passion for the water. They will also gain their multihull endorsement as well as train on paddleboards and paddlesports crafts. A typical day when qualified will see instructors prepare the kit, give shoreside instruction, teach on the water, debrief at the end of the session and pack away kit.

Chris Frisby, director of training and operations at UKSA said:

“This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime with Neilson. To know at the end of your training that Neilson is offering guaranteed jobs in some awesome locations, as well as cashback on the course fees after your second season is remarkable. UKSA is proud to work with partners like Neilson to ensure its offering is the best it can be and that students are ready to enter the workplace when they leave us. These spaces are sure to be popular so I urge anyone interested not to delay getting in touch with us.

Iain Stevenson-Wood, people director at Neilson said:

““We must allow everyone to fulfil their potential in this new age of struggling labour markets. As a company, we must look to attract employees in new and innovative ways to the water sports industry.

“With over 40 years of experience in the activity holiday market, I am happy that we can give future employees the same opportunities I was given when younger. Having been with the company for over 20 years and starting from the bottom of the ladder, these training opportunities allowed me to flourish along with many of our long-serving team members.

“We cannot wait to bring the next generation of watersports instructors to the industry.”

Graduates of Watersports Instructor Training also have the opportunity to work for UKSA, taking advantage of a generously discounted food and accommodation package reducing instructor’s day to day living expenses and enabling them to save while working with UKSA.

UKSA can also offer students funding support to start the Watersports Instructor Training course.
