QA Apprenticeships launches podcast series to help young people achieve future-proof careers
QA Apprenticeships has launched a career podcast series helping young people just starting out in the world of work to “future-proof” their job prospects. The FutureProof Careers podcast assesses today’s job market, raises important career questions and helps young people set themselves up now for future career success.
Each episode focuses on a particular career topic and blows it wide open with first-hand knowledge from QA apprenticeship alumni and a range of career experts.
Episode 1, “Choosing your first employer: Are you missing the big picture?” digs in to discover the ideal workplace environment ingredients when seeking a first job – whether it’s at a large company with a famous reputation or an exciting startup where a young person can try all kinds of work.
Former QA apprentices Amar Rai (Enterprise System Engineer at Cisco), Asher Newbigging (Software Developer at Tangent) and Angel Sequeira (IT Security Specialist at Nomura) provide their perspectives and advice for fellow apprentices and young people just starting their careers.
“We’re always looking for new ways to engage with learners, and we’re excited to launch this podcast to start a conversation with young people around careers,” says QA Apprenticeships Managing Director Ben Pike.
“There are many routes to a fulfilling career and we want to arm people with knowledge about all the options available to them.”
“We’re especially pleased to have former QA apprentices helping out with the podcast from our QA apprenticeship alumni community – the first in the UK.”
