The Lee Stafford Academy Gold Standard
North Kent College students and staff came together to recognise a dedicated lecturer as she achieved the status of Master Trainer.
The Lee Stafford Academy at North Kent College is the only one of its kind in Kent and South East London, and the tutors are expected to go through rigorous and intense training to be able to pass on the knowledge to the students that are on their courses. Tina Ayinde, Hairdressing Lecturer at The Lee Stafford Academy, showed strong determination, achieving the master level of training in 22 ‘Michelin starred recipes’ within less than a year, even though she had up to 2 years to complete the task.
Lee Stafford attended the college on the day passing on his advice and answering questions in workshops for the students, before the certificate and a gift was presented to Tina to acknowledge her hard work. Commenting on her achievement, Lee spoke of how she is “top of her game and is now seen to be the same level as myself and the rest of my team. To achieve these Michelin starred recipes shows determination, passion and ability”.
On receiving her award, Tina was proud to say “Lee has been a huge inspiration to our team. I decided that I wanted to achieve this as quickly as possible and make the most of the chance we had been given, so that I could pass these skills onto our students. I therefore pushed myself and was determined to succeed- which I have!”
Kim Catchpole, Curriculum Manager in Hairdressing, has always been supportive of the team throughout the process, and how proud she is of their dedication, “The Lee Stafford Academy at North Kent College is the go-to place for education and training in the Hairdressing sector, with great trainers. Tina’s attitude has been outstanding, well done on this amazing achievement!”
