Université Paris-Saclay partners with Beihang University to produce top international engineers
Université Paris-Saclay has signed several agreements with Beihang University in Beijing, China, to train the next generation of top experts and engineers.
Given the prowess of both universities in engineering and aeronautics, they will now collaborate to produce some of the most capable graduates in the world.
The two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which provides structure to their partnership and a framework to the PhD Double-Degree Agreement, which was also signed on this occasion. These agreements will extend existing cooperation to all Université Paris-Saclay member institutions and foster the joint organisation of summer schools and scientific events, and provide support to student mobility and research internships.
Beihang University is China’s first university to focus on aeronautical and astronautical education and research – complete with three Nobel prizes, over 1,000 international students, and partners all over the world that enable faculty exchanges, student mobility conferences, joint degrees, and joint publications.
The institution already has a number of historical links with Université Paris-Saclay member institutions. Since 2011, several agreements have been signed with University of Paris-Sud in the fields of physics, electronics and mathematics. Student exchanges and a double-degree in engineering have also been established with CentraleSupélec since 2005 upon the creation of the Sino-French Engineer School of Beihang University (Ecole Centrale de Pékin) with the Ecoles Centrales Group.
Université Paris-Saclay brings together these higher education institutions, research centres and real-world businesses within the technological cluster of Paris-Saclay.
The agreements signed earlier this month further cement the partnership between the two universities and contributes towards the production of world-class experts and engineers with international experience.
