New Challenge for Barnsley College Principal as Bradford College Chief Executive Officer
The recruitment process to find a suitable replacement will begin shortly. Barnsley College chief executive and principal Christopher Webb is set to leave his post to take up a new role as at Bradford College as chief executive officer.
Chris Webb, has been Barnsley College’s principal since 2015 and was deputy principal for three years prior to that.
He said: “I am very excited to be joining Bradford College as their new CEO, they presented such an exciting opportunity that I just couldn’t turn it down, however the decision to leave Barnsley College wasn’t an easy one. I’ve been incredibly lucky to work at Barnsley College for the past eight years and it has been a great honour for me to lead such a fantastic organisation for the last three. I will certainly miss everyone at the College.”
College chair of governors, Simon Perryman said: “The governors and staff will obviously be very sorry to see Chris go but can recognise his desire to take on challenging new role. Chris has made a tremendous contribution to our success in transforming lives here in Barnsley and leaves behind a fantastic team of staff in which we have every confidence.”
Chris will leave Barnsley College in the Spring to take up his new role at Bradford College. The recruitment process to find a suitable replacement will begin shortly.
