FE Music Students perform sell-out gig

Music students from Bradford College took to the stage to perform at a sell-out gig. 

A capacity crowd of 120 people packed the Black Dyke Mills Heritage Venue in Queensbury to hear a range of performances from rock to rap, soloists to groups.

As well as performing, the FE Music students also organised the entire event, taking responsibility for booking the venue, selling tickets, planning the running order, arranging equipment and working as technicians and crew on the night. 

The event was part of a project based on live performance and involved students on the Level 2 Diploma, Level 3 Diploma and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production course. 

Tutor Nicolas Sykes said: “It was a really great event from start to finish!

“The students did absolutely everything on the event from booking the venue to organising the sound and equipment to tickets and performing! They sounded great.”

After covering costs, the event raised £103 for Black Dyke Mills Heritage Venue and the College Music Department.
