Kirklees College celebrating after receiving top marks in recent QAA Review
Quality at the heart of Kirklees College.
Kirklees College is celebrating after receiving top marks in its recent QAA Review visit, and will now proudly display the QAA Quality Mark across all communications. A badge of honor which is recognised worldwide.
QAA are the independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK higher education, and are dedicated to checking that the three million students working towards a UK qualification get the higher education experiences they are entitled to expect.
The two-day review found Kirklees College’s academic standards to be reliable, meet UK requirements and are reasonably comparable with standards set and achieved in other providers in the UK.
“What makes this recognition so great is the governing body, QAA, actively involve students within their policies and knowing we have met these standards and are meeting and exceeding the expectations of students is a great feeling. We are proud to provide a high quality education to students and this quality mark is further proof of our great institution,” said Marie Gilluley, Principal.
The QAA review team provides an expert, independent judgement of degree-level provision and ensures the interest of students is protected whilst ensuring the college has effective arrangements to maintain academic standards and ensure the quality of the student academic experience. Like Ofsted for schools and further education, a QAA review ensures student interest is protected.
