NEW BOOST FOR GATESHEAD EDUCATION SOFTWARE SPECIALIST

Mesma is ramping up plans as it targets additional growth for its online education software and consultancy services, with Neil Donkin taking on lead responsibility for new product development.

The move comes as Mesma sees continued demand for its quality improvement software solutions among national FE colleges and independent training providers.

Working closely with his fellow directors, Neil Donkin will strengthen Mesma’s software building and development capabilities, in particular the design and delivery of the new Observe module, which will be launched in September 2018.

This will provide additional capacity to enable the user to centrally schedule and capture the outcomes of teaching and learning observations, providing a readily accessible resource for rapid and better reporting and feedback.

Demand from clients looking to implement quality assurance systems aligned to Ofsted inspections and other audit requirements is driving growth for Mesma, which predicts revenue to double in the next 12 months.

The move is also part of plans to continue to diversify Mesma’s core self-assessment and improvement planning software and develop further its consultancy services, which are also seeing increasing demand from training providers.

Mesma, which has seen sales take off among both public and private sector education providers since launching in 2013, continues to recruit additional software developers to bolster its existing team of highly skilled experts.

Director Carole Loader said that the firm will benefit from a strengthened focus on new product development.

She added: “Having additional software developers dedicating their time to supporting Mesma is a major asset. We’re continuing to build a leading-edge software solution, supported by a dedicated team of skilled people to underpin a fast-growing customer base.”
