Creative festival is showcase of student talent
Creative studies students at Clarendon Sixth Form College have shown off their final pieces of work in their annual creative festival.
Friends, family, colleagues and school pupils visited the festival to see a showcase of their work, which was exhibited at the Camp Street campus.
Items on display, included: photographs, posters, art exhibits, demonstrations of games created by students, clothing and fashion items.
Students who produced outstanding work and went above and beyond in their studies were awarded certificates and Bryony Jones, art and design student, won creative student of the year.
Ruth James, curriculum leader for creative studies, who helped to decide the award winners, said: “The standard of work of our students gets better and better each year. We have some exceptional pieces on display and those that won awards, especially Bryony have come on leaps and bounds. The work just goes to show that Clarendon Sixth Form College is one of the best colleges for creative courses in the area.”
Alongside the creative festival, students also put on a fashion show for visitors in the Brooke Vincent Theatre at Clarendon Sixth Form College, including pieces created by students throughout their time on the course. Themes included the sea, nature, suits of armour, ancient history and shapes.
