Aspirations students applauded at award ceremony

Tameside College’s Aspirations students celebrated with friends and family at their annual awards evening last week.

Nearly 50 students were presented with certificates by Nicola Welland, assistant principal and Tracey Barton-McClean, Aspirations curriculum leader for their achievements whilst studying at the college

Seven students were also presented with trophies for their dedication, hard work and development.

Jackie Moores, principal of Tameside College, said: “I’d like to say congratulations and well done to all our Aspirations students, I have seen them develop in to fantastic young people and role models for others. Whatever they go on to do next I am sure they’ll have a positive impact.”

Tracey Barton-McClean, curriculum leader for Aspirations, said: “Another year has gone by and again our students have done some amazing things and done lots for the local community. Their development has been phenomenal and I am proud of every single one of them, they really do deserve their awards.”
