Student rakes in Midland Regional Grower Apprentice of the year award

Pershore College student receives the Midland Regional Grower Apprentice of the year award, at this year’s RHS Malvern Spring Show held last week. (Thursday 10 May).

Max Bailey, 23, is in his second year of a Crop Production Horticulture Apprenticeship, and currently works at Cotswold Garden Slowers in Offenham.

Award winner Max Bailey, said:

“First off I would like to say how delighted I am to win the Apprentice of the Year award, it is such a great achievement to top off a brilliant two years. Secondly, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved at Cotswold Garden Flowers, Pershore College and the Midland Regional Growers group, and I am looking forward to my future in Horticulture.”

“There was lots of competition within the Midland Regional Growers group, but this award is well deserved. Max is incredibly enthusiastic about his plants and horticulture as a whole. He is always looking to further his knowledge and he makes my job very easy”.

An overcome Max, received a trophy and £100 worth of vouchers, presented by Sir Alan Titchmarsh in the Festival Theatre, for his dedication and outstanding achievement.
