North Kent College throw open their doors for Spring Open Days
North Kent College are proud to announce their upcoming Spring Open Days, taking place on Tuesday 20th February at the Dartford Campus and Thursday 22nd February at the Gravesend Campus, both 3:30-6:00pm, for a September 2018 start.
Visitors will be able to view the facilities, speak to careers advisors to find out which course is suitable for them, and receive advice from the apprenticeship team on pathways available. Students and staff will be happy to answer questions, and give you guidance about what it is like studying at North Kent College.
During the event a presentation will be made by Rhiannon Hughes, Deputy Principal, who states “Our Open Days are always popular because they give young people and their parents the chance to see the College and all our courses in action. Whilst our staff can talk knowledgably about each course and our wonderful facilities, young people can also hear straight from their peers about College life from current students. A vocational course really is the viable alternative to staying at school to complete A Levels, as they give young people the hands on experience to progress into a career or onto University. We find that many parents don’t realise that a level 3 course at North Kent College is equivalent to A-levels and gives students the UCAS points they will need to continue to University – we’d therefore encourage you to come and see us if you currently have a child in years 10 or 11”.
North Kent College offer many options for learners including Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeships. Courses are of a vocational nature, helping to prepare the learner to enter into a working environment after completing the course. The Open Days are also a perfect opportunity for people who are interested in getting back into education, as there are many flexible options to consider.
To confirm attendance for the Open Days, and find out more information, pre-register via the website and make your choice for your future.
