Fashion students shape trends

Fashion students at Clarendon Sixth Form College have created a range of garments taking inspiration from shapes.

The students were set the challenge to create exciting pieces using white and grey fabrics, taking inspiration from geometric shapes such as triangles and squares and mathematic principles.

The students’ work was then photographed by photography students at the college in a live fashion shoot.

Louise Hawson, fashion teacher at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “The students have completed this work from start to finish themselves. The standard of work that they have produced is excellent and the processes they have gone through to get to this stage are exactly what they have to do in the real fashion industry. We’re very proud of them.”

Rhea White, a former Fairfield High School pupil and fashion student at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “It’s been fantastic to work on this project. I love the final pieces and we’ve all worked really well together, including the photography students who helped to catalogue our work. This is exactly what I hope to go on to do in my career.”

The students involved in the project were: Rhea White, Amelia Lindsay, Summer Lane and Rebecca Lamb.
