Project to strengthen local collaboration with employers
More than £100,000 is to be invested into local areas to embed collaborative partnerships between employers and education and training providers, thanks to a new programme from the Education and Training Foundation.
The Teach Too programme will see three projects across England receive funding to pilot approaches to embedding Teach Too principles and helping to build the ‘two-way street’ between employers and providers at a strategic local level. The projects will support collaborative arrangements within local areas to design and deliver curriculum which drives improvements in technical education. The programme will focus on how Teach Too arrangements can support local needs and how this impacts on learners, employers and economic productivity.

This investment is welcome news. This project will support strategic local collaboration in readiness for the implementation of the Post-16 Skills Plan.
Local areas will benefit from better teaching, learning and assessment in colleges and training providers. We are looking forward to working with participating organisations to see how we can improve the systems in place and to share this widely.
