Mitre Proud to be Derby County Football Club’s Stadium Safety Partner

Mitre Group are delighted to announce they are Derby County Football Club’s Stadium Safety Partner for the 2017/18 season.

Mitre Group, who are based in Derbyshire, are a leading training provider delivering accredited and bespoke training programmes to support apprenticeships, workforce development and community education.  With a specialism as sports, stadia and safety training experts, their relationship with the Rams is to provide training, qualifications and support for all of the club’s stewards on a matchday at Pride Park Stadium. 

They also work with many other football club’s to deliver a range of training programmes across the sector from Apprenticeships to Senior Management and Leadership, Customer Service and Equality & Diversity to Coach Education in the Community Trusts and developing Scholars at the training ground. 

Nigel Wood, Derby’s Safety and Operations Manager, said: “We’ve had an excellent working relationship with Mitre Group for many years. They provide an excellent level of service to the club, particularly with the training that is on offer to our stewards in order to ensure they have the highest possible qualifications to fulfil their role on a matchday. He continued “Mitre have a very good reputation within their industry and we’re thrilled to have them on board as our Stadium Safety Partner.”
