SEETEC SET TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL EMPLOYABILITY DAY WITH JOB FAIRS ACROSS THE NORTH WEST

Employment and skills specialist Seetec will celebrate the second national UK Employability Day on Friday 14th July with a series of job fairs focussed on getting jobseekers back into work.
The events which will be co-ordinated alongside the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) will be held in Manchester, Wigan and Oldham and will focus on bringing together local business and job seekers.
During the day, a number of local employers, employment providers and training providers will attend the Seetec centres with live vacancies to fill and support and advice to offer to help the jobseekers make that all important first impression.
Seetec customers will have a really valuable opportunity to meet with the employers to learn more about the available positions and complete application forms there and then.
In Manchester, hundreds ​Seetec customers will be in attendance, as well as, companies such youth centre Factory Youth Zone who provide a unique safe place for young people aged 8 – 19 across Manchester and Antz Junction which is home to a social enterprise, a long list of charities, business and the Bold Work Ready Training Academy. Plus RSPCA Bury Oldham and Manchester City Council along with 22 other businesses.
The day will consist of a mini-employment session to ensure all customers are revved up, as well as, an exhibition with local organisations who can offer short work experience opportunities.
Last time Seetec held an event like this in 2016, 75 candidates secured interviews with 15 employers including Argos retails, Travelodge and Grosvenor Casino.

The latest Labour Market Statistics published shows the employment rate at a record high of 74.2% and the unemployment rate has fallen to 5%, the lowest rate since October 2005, according to official figures. The unemployment total fell to 1.67 million in the February-to-April period, down 20,000 from the previous quarter.
