Seven Gower College Swansea students heading to Oxbridge
Seven students from Gower College Swansea have been offered places to study at Cambridge and Oxford Universities this year. They are:
- Kyle Lowes (formerly of Pontardulais Comprehensive School) offered a place at Balliol College, Oxford to study Classical Archaeology and Ancient History
- Ffion Price (formerly of Cefn Hengoed Comprehensive School) offered a place at University College, Oxford to study History and Politics
- Nia Griffiths (formerly of Bishopston Comprehensive School) offered a place at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge to study Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic
- Anna Cooper (formerly of Bishopston Comprehensive School) offered a place at Homerton College, Cambridge to study Music
- Megan Coslett (formerly of Penyrheol Comprehensive School) offered an open place at Christ’s College, Cambridge to study Education, English and Drama
- Steven Edwards (formerly of Bishopston Comprehensive School) offered a place at Selwyn College, Cambridge to study Mathematics
- Jonathan Phillips (formerly of Gowerton Comprehensive School) offered a place at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge to study Mathematics.
Gower College Swansea, at the invitation of and in collaboration with, the University of Cambridge, is the “hub” institution in the Swansea HE+ Consortium, working with the seven state sixth-form schools in the area.
