CNWL wins LOOP awards for Practical Learning and Student Safety

The College of North West London was the big winner at the inaugural LOOP awards in November.

LOOP is an award winning social enterprise that provides comprehensive student feedback to colleges through engaging student training workshops and innovative technology. For the first time this year, they held an awards night to recognise the colleges that have not only scored well in key areas of feedback, but have shown they are listening to learners in order to improve.
Having been shortlisted in no less than seven categories, CNWL were named on the night as winners of the awards for Practical Learning and for Student Safety. The College was also runner up in the Careers Advice category.
The ceremony, held at  a central London venue on 24 November, was attended by representatives from Colleges around the country. Several students from CNWL, including members of our student Council, were there to accept the awards.
Diana Brown, the College’s Deputy Head of Student Services, said: “It is a real honour to do so well at the first ever LOOP awards. It recognises the part students have played in the College’s development, and gives us a further challenge to live up these high standards in next year’s awards!”
LOOP Director, Alev Zahir added: “The LOOP Awards are all about recognising excellence in FE, as rated by students. We’ve engaged over 15,000 students to date and are consistently inspired by the commitment to student voice that our partner colleges show. The College of North West London’s win in the Practical Learning and Student Safety Categories was well deserved and students and staff should be very proud”.
