Noah Brown discusses USA & UK FE systems, USA Apprenticeships, and how Brexit & Trump could affect Further Education
We chat with ACCT President Noah Brown at the Association of Colleges annual conference. Noah is the President of The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), which represents over 1,100 Community Colleges in the USA. Noah discusses the UK and USA FE systems, the differences and similarities – particularly after Brexit and the recent US Presidential elections.
Noah chats funding challenges, coping with an increase in retiring Principals / Presidents of Colleges, the effect of immigration policies on international student numbers and how the US system can learn from the UK FE system as they are moving into a national system of accreditation and standards.
Noah then discusses international collaborative learning, and gives us an update on the US Apprenticeship system.
