Jacob makes Scotland squad and heads to Malaga for rugby 7s
Congratulations to former Sports Coaching and Development HND student Jacob Henry who has made the Scotland Rugby 7s squad to play in Malaga later this week.
Nikki Walker – Former international Scotland player, who himself was capped for Scotland 24 times, and is a Curriculum and Learning Manager at Borders College commented:
“It’s fantastic to see Jacob being selected for the Scotland squad. All his hard work is now paying off. We wish him the very best from all at Borders College.”
Scotland have been drawn in Pool A of the Malaga leg, alongside South Africa, England and Fiji, with results at that event determining the make-up of Seville a week later.
Scotland 7s Head Coach Beattie said:
“Having named our core squad in December, we are thrilled to be sending a group of players to Malaga and Seville to start such an important year for Scotland 7s.
“We have worked extremely hard over the past few weeks in preparation for these first legs of 2022, in the knowledge that the series will be as competitive as ever.”
Jacob currently plays for Edinburgh Rugby and is a FOSROC Academy player.
