It’s not to late to enrol for adult and part-time courses at Weston College
The summer holidays are over, students have started/returned to school and college – and that means a few adults might suddenly find themselves with a little spare time on their hands!
If that’s the case, then why not be constructive by signing up for an adult or part-time course at Weston College.
It’s not too late to sign up and there are still places available on a wide range of courses.
Weston College knows that adult learners are likely to have many other competing demands on their valuable time.
That’s why the part-time provision has been designed to be as flexible as possible so that you can fit it in around your various other commitments.
Here is just a small selection of the many adult and part-time courses which still have spaces available:
If you want to put the ‘icing on the cake’ in terms of your skills in the kitchen, you could take up a cake decorating course.
Not only will you will learn how to ice cakes proficiently, but you will use marzipan and a variety of different mediums to create models and bespoke cake designs.
Have you been inspired by Team GB’s Olympic successes this summer? Do you want to help train the athletes of tomorrow? Or do you simply want to improve your own health, fitness and nutritional knowledge? Our Level 2 and 3 Personal Training courses could be just what you need!
If you’re interested in carpentry, our evening courses can help you nail the knowledge and skills you need to earn a Level 2 C&G qualification, which is widely recognised within the industry.
Perhaps you prefer plastering; we’ve got a course aimed at the complete novice. Within 16 weeks, you will acquire the skills to skim walls and ceilings and produce plaster mouldings.
For the more academic and professional services-minded, there are places available on ILM Management courses, CIPD HR Management courses, and AAT Accounting.
If you enjoy painting your nails – and those of other people – why not take this interest/hobby/skill to the next level with a Nail Technology Qualification? This can open the doors to a career as an employed or self-employed nail technician.
Alternatively, you could study the Holistic Therapy Diploma, which will advance your beauty therapy skills to enable you to carry out a full range of treatments including body massage, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, stone therapy and more.
As well as the practical skills, the course will also cover relevant health and safety, client care and management skills.
Perhaps you would prefer to unleash your creative side, either to enjoy a personal interest or to develop skills that you might be able to turn into a part or full-time career.
The Creative Arts Department at Weston College still has adult and part-time places available in a wide range of courses including Ceramics, Creative Suite, Introduction to Animation, Fashion Design and Silver Jewellery.
If the only thing putting you off of taking a course is the cost, then don’t worry as many courses then an Advanced Learner Loan could be the perfect answer. Now available to people aged 19-plus, it covers your tuition and exam fees, and you don’t pay back a penny until you start earning £21,000.
