Education and Training Foundation needs your feedback
The Education and Training Foundation is two years old. We belong to the sector and over the last two years we’ve channelled £45 million into the sector, working with many different partners to help practitioners and leaders. Now we need to know how we are doing, so we can plan ahead.
The world of further education and training has never been static but the next few years will see significant changes. These include Area Reviews, challenging financial constraints, the plan to create 3 million apprenticeships and continued debate about qualifications and skills. Individuals and organisations will have to adapt, to help our learners.
The Foundation’s priorities for 2015-2016 are clear:
- We want to boost our national capacity to teach maths and English post 16.
- We support leaders at every level and in every type of organisation.
- With employers and providers we’re developing a top quality vocational education and training system, helping deliver the rapid growth of apprenticeships.
- We’re supporting practitioners through the Society for Education and Training (SET) and the QTLS qualification.
- And we’ve been given responsibility for the strategic direction of Skills Competitions and the Skills Show.
The Foundation has to be clear about how it helps the sector. We want to ensure that we are open, effective and responsive to your feedback. Our annual perceptions survey runs to the 21st October, managed by an independent research company.
We’d love to see a big response, whatever your role and whoever you work for. This will feed directly into our Board’s discussions of our four year plan.
The Foundation is here to support you in advancing professionalism and achieving your improvement objectives. Do you know the full range of Foundation programmes and services? We want to hear your thoughts on their effectiveness and reach. What is your experience of engaging with us and our delivery partners? We’re committed to continuous improvement and adding new programmes as needed. What communication channels work best to keep you informed about what we offer?
Your feedback is crucial to us if we are to deliver programmes and services you need, identify gaps and specific challenges in the education sector.
The survey can be found here. Please take a little time to tell us how we are doing: we appreciate it.
