Scape launches scheme to upgrade buildings in education
Local authority-controlled Scape will launch a new product next week to help the education sector upgrade existing buildings rather than resorting to costly new builds.
The Nottingham-based public sector design, procurement and transformation specialists will unveil the ‘Renovate’ scheme on 30 April to inject new life into old building stock on tight budgets.
“Prolonged austerity measures are continuing to hurt public sector bodies as their resources continue to diminish,” said Scape chief executive Mark Robinson.
“Core services take precedence and for many this means that new projects have to wait or are completely unworkable for the foreseeable future. Renovate provides a solution to this problem.”
The product will be launched at the Academies Show in London.
