Entrepreneurs want to be heard at work
Three quarters of British people care more about having their contributions valued at work than their pay packets, according to a new survey.
Although 38 per cent of people want the opportunity to have their ideas heard by employers, 71 per cent of companies do not have a platform in place for them to do so, according to research into the state of the workforce by cosmetics giant L’Oréal.
Some 26 per cent of people said they feel undervalued at work, and L’Oréal warned companies face a “staff exodus” if they fail to encourage entrepreneurship.
L’Oréal UK&I country manager Jeremy Schwartz said: “The research gives a powerful insight into today’s employees, and shows how strongly Brits want to have their ideas heard and be involved in company strategy.”
